One-Stop Centers are a single point-of-entry to a network of employment and educational programs and providers in each community. They help job seekers access the tools they need to manage their careers through high quality information and services and help employers find skilled workers. Information about job vacancies, career options, student financial aid, relevant employment trends, and instruction on how to conduct a job search, write a resume, or interview with an employer is available to anyone in the United States.
Each One-Stop Center integrates the services of the following federally-funded programs, through staff co-location, coordination of services, and integration activities:
- Programs authorized by Title I of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998. - Job Service - Adult Education and Literacy - Vocational Rehabilitation - Welfare to Work - Senior Community Service Employment Program - Postsecondary Vocational Education - North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)/Transition Adjustment Assistance (TAA) - Veterans' Employment & Training Services - Employment and Training activities - Community Services Block Grant Act - Employment and Training activities - Housing and Urban Development (HUD) - Unemployment Insurance
